This book is the result of a visit to the First World War battlefields of the Somme in France. It concentrates on the battle on 1st July 1916 and the part played by the British Pals Battalions. The Pals Battalions were volunteers recruited as entire units in towns and cities, even workplaces. They had names such as the Accrington Pals, Hull Commercials , Glasgow Tramways and the Tyneside Irish. My trip included the memorial services held on 1st July at Thiepval Memorial and the Lochnagar Crater. The book contains 50 pages, it is 9" x 7", casewrap-hardcover binding, white interior paper (80# weight), full-colour interior ink, white exterior paper (100# weight), full-color exterior ink. There are 82 photographs of which 24 are full page images. It costs £29.99/ $60 plus P&P

This book is a collection of images from my trip to the fabled city of Timbuktu in Mali, West Africa. The trips starts in Bamako the capital of Mali. It’s a three day journey to Timbuktu, the first two days heading north east broadly along the Niger river visiting the towns of Segoukoro, Segou and Mopti. The third day is a long journey northwards most of which is on dusty tracks as the scenery becomes more desert like until the broad meandering Niger is reached. A small ferry takes you to Korioume the port of Timbuktu. Timbuktu, almost as isolated as it ever was, stands on the very edge of the vast Sahara desert is a true iconic place lost in time. On the way back we visited the Monday Market in Djenne held in the square in front of the largest mud building in the world, and visited the Dogon Country taking in a display of the mask dance in one of the villages of the escarpment. There are 115 photographs of which lots are full page images. It is 9" x 7", casewrap-hardcover binding, white interior paper (80# weight), full-colour interior ink, white exterior paper (100# weight), full-color exterior ink. It costs £29.99/ $60 plus P&P
